The Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire District (RVCFD) provides fire protection to the residents of Redwood Valley, Calpella and the surrounding area. Located directly north of Ukiah in the east central portion of Mendocino County, this Fire District is centered on the US Highway 101–State Route 20 interchange and the Russian River.
RVCFD provides structural fire protection, wildland fire protection, emergency medical response, rescue and extrication, hazardous materials response, and water rescue.
RVCFD is a Special District within the County of Mendocino. The principal act that governs the District is the State of California Health and Safety Code Section 13800 et seq. (Fire Protection District Law of 1987).
Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
